It's works well because we are sort of attatched to the monster crew of the first 4 nights, even if it's a hate relationship. It feels lonely, and you feel afraid of this new toothy thing out to get you. It delivers the punch that the night 5 minigame lands. It's the most memorable end of any of the games in a way.
