I rang three dealers, and asked them directly about the gearbox service. By what i had read on here, three years or 35/38000 seems to be the norm. Some it appear, do have it done earlier. The first two quoted me the cost of £250 incl, without any reference to a service.
When a clutch change is done on yours, any engine main seal leak should be noticed. When changing the clutch, the slave cylinder is also changed, and that is the seal for the transmission shaft.
